Fast Forward Video has announced that the IBC Show will serve as the backdrop for the launch of the JPEG2000 Alliance, a consortium of broadcast industry leaders who are dedicated developing widespread acceptance of the JPEG2000 compression standard.
Fast Forward Video is planning a kickoff session at the Show on Friday, Sept. 11 extending from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Forum Centre’s room L.
Charter members of the JPEG2000 Alliance also include 360 Systems, Analog Devices, Barco, Digital Rapids, Doremi Labs, the Fraunhofer Institute, Front Porch Digital, intoPIX, Media Links, Media Matters and Miranda Technologies.
Broadcast engineers, solutions developers and other interested parties are invited to attend the kickoff meeting.
