Zenith Electronics has been holding all-day seminars on VSB technology since the DTV build out started. The seminars cover topics including VSB basics, VSB transmitter measurements, FCC channel allocation factors (OET-69), VSB laboratory tests and VSB field tests.
The next seminar is scheduled for Thursday, June 5 at WCVB-TV in Needham Mass. (Boston area) from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A seminar will also be held at WQED-TV in Pittsburgh, Pa. on July 1.
Participants will receive an updated 1-1/4-inch thick seminar notebook. TV stations, SBE chapters and equipment manufacturers sponsor the seminars. Registration fees are usually in the $30-50 per person range.
