WRNN Installs Crispin System 2000 to Manage Assets

Crispin has completed its System 2000 installation at WRNN-TV a regional news network based in Rye Brook, NY.

The System 2000 suite supports asset management, satellite recording, media ingest, device control, traffic translation and control of two channels for on-air playback. The solution includes 11 workstations, each concentrating on a specific workflow task.

WRNN-TV uses the Crispin ArchiveManager with an external near-line RAID to archive assets. The archive GUI offers a clear view of video server and archive content for quick drag-and-drop transfers, according to Crispin. WRNN-TV also uses Crispin Dubber to control multiple source devices and RapidPlayX for playlist monitoring and control for its on-air channels.

To quickly search for video clips, WRNN-TV operators use TurboBrowser, a companion application to RapidPlayX.
