Wohler Previews DigitalVision 2010

At DigitalVision 2010 on Jan. 20, Wohler Technologies will exhibit a full range of the company’s audio monitoring products. DigitalVision 2010 is an all-day free virtual trade show sponsored by NewBay Media and The NAB Show.

Wohler will display its 1RU AMP-16 Series 16-Channel Multirate SDI Audio/Video Monitors. Equipped with three high-performance, cost-efficient OLED display screens, the units offer flexible monitoring and output via a user-friendly help system and configurable front panel buttons, which can solo, mute, and recall system-wide presets. The AMP-16 is available with optional Dolby D, E and DD+ as it is released.

The company will also showcase its AMP2-16 Series modular audio monitor, providing simultaneous level metering of up to 16 channels of audio as well as flexible loudness indication from the user’s choice of input and output cards. Options include 3G HD/SD-SDI, AES, and analog cards, as well as system-wide Dolby D, E, and DD+ upgrades.

Wohler will also discuss its modular solutions, including the HDCC Series of module for captioning. One card can be configured and reconfigured as needed to convert captioning from SD and HD and back, insert two generated or stored captioning data streams into two programs, or extract captioning data from two SDI signals. The latest option is the HDCC transcoder module which can convert captioning from one standard to another. All HDCC modules feature duplicate video outputs per channel configurable to render captioning “burnt in” for end-point preview on any external display. The card is available in two sizes to fit either the 3RU Eurocard frame or the 2RU Ross Video openGear frame. Additionally, a separate interface allows the HDCC2001 to be used in existing Evertz frames without further modification to the frame.
