Wireless Communications Association to co-locate annual symposium with 4G World in Chicago

The Wireless Communications Association International (WCAI), representing the wireless broadband industry worldwide, said it will co-locate its 15th Annual International Symposium with 4G World. As the Premier Association Sponsor of 4G World, WCAI will collaborate with conference organizer Trendsmedia in producing a Broadband and Wireless Policy Summit. In addition, the WCAI’s Global Development Committee (GDC) will organize a “Summit on Wireless Broadband in Emerging Markets.” The four-day event will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, Sept. 15-18.

The “WCAI Broadband and Wireless Policy Summit” will gather key officials from government and industry who are shaping the future of wireless broadband in 2009 and beyond. The “WCAI GDC Summit on Wireless Broadband in Emerging Markets” will include leading international operators and ecosystem partners to discuss the latest developments in emerging wireless broadband markets in Latin America, South Asia, and EMEA.

The 4G marketplace comprises next-generation mobile networks, converged mobile and broadband technologies and mobile Internet services and applications. To reflect this converging reality, 4G World will bring under one roof the WCAI’s International Symposium, as well as Yankee Group’s series of WiMAX World and Mobile Internet World. The show will also present an expanded conference agenda with new executive summits, workshops, training and ancillary program offerings to ensure comprehensive coverage of 4G business and technology solutions.
