Williams Ascends to Ascent CEO

Just over one year after joining the post-production and media services company as chief operating officer, Kenneth S. Williams was named president and CEO of Ascent Media Group.

Williams, who received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an M.S. in Business Policy from Columbia University, was appointed COO of Ascent in August 2002, where he oversaw the company's equipment and service offerings in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Ascent, Williams served as president of Technicolor Digital Cinema, and held a senior executive position at Stan Lee Media. Prior to those positions, he spent 18 years in studio operations at Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), where he ultimately served as president of the digital studios division, and co-founded Sony Pictures Imageworks.
