Venue Services Group Adds Partnerships

Venue Services Group, a systems integration firm experienced in mobile unit construction, fixed facilities, cabling infrastructures and consulting, and Bexel Broadcast Service, a worldwide leader in production remote services, remote control room design and mobile editing applications, have entered a partnership to provide customers with full HD systems solutions.

Together, VSG and Bexel will provide customers with end-to-end solutions for systems requiring fiber, design and integration, particularly in conversions to HDTV. VSG’s overall project design, engineering and integration team is improved by adding Bexel’s fiber optic design and installation expertise.

At the same time, VSG has joined forces with Broadcast Technical Services, Inc., a systems integration firm experienced in design, engineering and construction of major broadcast facilities and television stations, with concentration on HD upgrades. This newly-formed agreement allows VSG to broaden its integration services to the broadcast stations market with BTSI’s experience in RF and over-the-air requirements, and provides a localized office to the middle-western area of the United States.

VSG recently completed HD mobile unit construction of National Mobile Television’s HD10 and SBS1; fixed facilities of Arrowhead Pond’s arena control; cabling infrastructures at Fenway Park and Fleet Center; consulting jobs for Madison Square Garden Networks, The Lightship Group, Fox Sports Net Chicago and Hunter College, and audio/visual installations for Microsoft, Hollister, Vulcan Group, Port of Tacoma and the City of Seattle.

BTSI’s Peter Douglas was the driving force behind the design, engineering and operations for the AT&T Digital Media Centers (formerly TCI National Digital Television Center) in Denver, along with facilities in Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles. BTSI has also built broadcast facilities for Oxygen Networks; Lake Cedar Group in Denver, CO; WCAV/WVAW-TV in Charlottesville, VA; WOWK-TV in Huntington, WV; KVIA-TV in El Paso, TX; WRDW-TV in Augusta, SC; and many more.
