VCI acquires automation provider Digital Transaction Group

Citing a good synergy between the two organizations that will result in the offering of a complete system that includes sales and traffic software with automation, Video Communications (VCI) has acquired Digital Transaction Group (DTG), a supplier of automation software systems for the broadcast and cable industry. DTG's main automation product is called Xe.
Under terms of the deal, DTG would operate as a new division of VCI, called VCI Automation. General manager of DTG James Brown will serve in the same role for VCI Automation. Financial details were not disclosed.
VCI Solutions delivers media revenue solutions that allow professionals working in broadcast and cable networks to better anticipate change and more efficiently manage their business in a rapidly evolving marketplace, the company said.
VCI has more than 450 broadcast and cable customers worldwide.
