TV One's new C2-260 PCI/ISA card, which made its debut at NSCA, provides upconversion from standard video formats to computer or HDTV and crossconversion between computer and HDTV resolutions. Features include genlock, chroma- and lumakey, PIP and mixing. It's ready for PC integration and plugs into a vacant slot inside the PC where it is powered from a standard hard drive connector.
The card supports multiple computer resolutions at any vertical refresh rate and all HDTV resolutions up to 1080p. The C2-260 has two composite inputs and two S-video inputs. A PC loop-thru is also provided. TV One's AutoSet feature automatically sizes and positions the computer image to properly fit on the video screen. All settings can be stored in non-volatile memory. An on-screen display is also available to assist in setup.
Variable Zoom can go up to 10X allowing any part of the computer screen to be enlarged while Variable Shrink can go down to 10 percent. The Digital Flicker Elimination circuitry and high sampling rate insures images quality is maintained, while full bandwidth chroma sampling insures accurately reproduced, high-resolution colors.
The Key Mode allows computer graphics to be keyed over an external composite or S-video signal, and using 4:4:4 sampling, keying can be done at the pixel level. The Mix Mode enables mixing between the computer image and external video, while the PIP Mode allows the computer input to be inset in a window over either of the video inputs. The Genlock feature synchronizes incoming signals.
All the functions can be controlled via optional infrared control remote unit or RS-232 connection. A Windows control panel is provided and most third-party control systems interface directly with the entire C2 range of products. The unit is provided with a single breakout cable incorporating all of the required PC and video inputs and outputs, along with RS232.
