Tu Universo Television orders three Euphonix consoles

Puerto Rico's Tu Universo Television is upgrading its broadcast and production facilities with three Euphonix Mair Air Consoles.

Looking to improve its audio workflow for production of its news and long-form programming, Tu Universo Television (TUTV), one of two educational broadcasting networks in Puerto Rico, is upgrading its facilities with three Euphonix Max Air consoles that will be installed in the summer in the TUTV studios in San Juan.

Director of Engineering, Jorge Gonzalez said the Max Air consoles fit the needs for a reliable yet cost-effective digital audio console.

Tu Universo Television went on-the-air January 6, 1958, becoming the first educational TV station in Latin America. On January 21, 1987 the public radio and TV broadcasting operation was transferred from the Puerto Rico Department of Education to the Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation, which recently adopted the name of Tu Universo Television to identify its television operation.
