TitanTV Promotes Effron to President

TitanTV Media, a software company developing an online media distribution platform for broadcasters, has named Mark Effron president and chief operating officer of the company.

Efforn, who joined TitanTV Media last May after four years as vice president of programming at MSNBC will be in charge of all operations including creation of original video programming, product development and affiliate sales. He reports to Jack Perry, founder and CEO of the company. TitanTV’s product line includes Media Star, Titan TV Guide and the Titan TV Network, a digital media platform designed to connect local media and their advertisers online.

“My background in news and broadcasting management and Jack’s unparalleled experience in media technology mesh well and make us ideal partners to help local broadcasters and producers of syndicated TV content find ways to monetize content in this new digital world,” Effron said. “Jack’s been a mentor as well as a true visionary in foreseeing the intersections of technology and content. I’ll be relying on him enormously to guide us through the ever-changing media landscape.”

TitanTV Media is developing an Internet broadcast network that serves as a worldwide source for local, original and user-generated content. TitanTV.com is syndicated on more than 1,300 TV station Web sites and provides advertising and revenue generating opportunities for local TV stations.
