The Cable Show Returns to New Orleans in 2008

The National Cable & Telecommunications Association has scheduled its 57th annual national convention, The Cable Show ‘08, for May 18-20, 2008 in the Big Easy. The organization said the convention and international exposition will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, following through on a commitment to return the convention to the area post-Hurricane Katrina.

The event will be co-chaired by Debra Lee, chairman and CEO of BET Networks, and Rocco B. Commisso, chairman and CEO of Mediacom Communications Corp. As part of the Cable Show ‘08 agenda, NCTA is planning a slate of activities and opportunities for cable industry companies and their executives to further assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts, said Commisso and Lee.

“We have many wonderful memories from NCTA conventions in New Orleans over the years,” said Lee. “We plan to make The Cable Show ‘08 another great event while giving back to the city and the people that have played a part in our industry’s growth.”
