Tech Companies Partner For IT Seminars

Montreal--Miranda Technologies, Omneon Video Networks, Sundance Digital, and TANDBERG Television have joined forces to create a seminar series designed to help educate broadcasters about the key factors driving the transition to IT-based broadcast infrastructures, and the impact these new technologies will have on broadcasters. The series of one-day seminars will be presented by senior technologists from the companies.
The seminars will educate attendees on standard IT basics, including networking, security, compression, storage, and file exchange. Technologies related to the core themes will also be demonstrated.
The first event will be held on July 1, 2004, at the Tremont Boston Hotel, Boston, and the series will continue at other large cities across the United States. The schedule of seminars is as follows:
--Thursday, July 1 - Boston, MA
--Wednesday, July 28 - Washington, DC
--Wednesday, August 18 - Atlanta, GA
--Wednesday, October 27 - Cincinnati, OH
--Wednesday, November 10 - Denver, CO
--Wednesday, December 15 - Sacramento, CA
