For its new HD facilities in Atlanta, TBS is deploying Videotek multiformat on-screen monitor to measure HD digital video signals.
The VTM-450 HD/SD is a testing device that provides manual and automated testing of HD and SD serial digital video signals. The instrument measures waveform, vector, eye pattern, analog/digital timing and automatically provides alerts to operators when signal quality errors occur.
The VTM-450 HD/SD is the "flagship" test and measurement tool for Videotek--a division of Leitch.
The HD test tool has been deployed at all TBS QA positions as the de facto standard, according to Clyde Smith, senior vice president of broadcast engineering, R&D, QA and metrics for TBS.
