Tandberg Television Appoints Industry Veterans to Management Team
Tandberg Television, part of the Ericsson Group, has appointed industry veterans Terry Lee to senior vice president of sales and Ian Tapp to senior vice president of business development. Lee will be responsible for driving revenue and leading the Americas sales team while Tapp will focus on expanding the company’s business in the Americas by developing and maintaining partnerships in the cable, satellite, telco and terrestrial broadcast markets.
Lee joins Tandberg Television after a 20-year career in national and international sales and new business development. Before joining Tandberg Television, Lee was vice president of North American sales for BigBand Networks. Prior to BigBand, Lee was an executive manager with Scientific-Atlanta. Lee also held executive sales roles with Texas Instruments and Amphenol.
Tapp brings a background in digital communications to his new role as senior vice president of business development. Prior to joining Tandberg Television, Tapp spent 13 years at NDS, a subsidiary of News Corp. As vice president of business development and marketing, Tapp’s primary focus for the last several years was growing NDS’s presence in the IPTV market.
Both Lee and Tapp will report directly to Al Nuñez, president of the Americas.
