Symetrix launches YouTube channel

Symetrix, a provider of audio processing solutions for the commercial, broadcast and pro audio markets through its Symetrix, SymNet, AirTools and Lucid brands, has launched a YouTube channel. The channel can be directly accessed at www.youtube.com/user/SymetrixTechTV and features short videos that give a broad overview of Symetrix products suitable for audio professionals and their tech-savvy clients. The first video features a three-minute tour of SymNet's new SymVue user interface technology, hosted by Symetrix senior systems support engineer Ryan Curtright.

“Instead of asking someone to pore over a brochure or, in the case of software, download and install a demo, interested parties can watch a brief highlight tour right from YouTube,” Curtright said. “For instance, an integrator can give a client a feel for the possibilities of SymVue without an actual demo or a software download. It's a low-commitment, easy-access portal to information that most Internet users are already very familiar with.”

Symetrix plans to upload a few videos a month as new products and technologies emerge. While the videos will likely appear at the company's own site, Curtright expects most of the traffic to travel through YouTube. "As more and more people replace their traditional cell phones with smart phones that have ready Internet access and integrated YouTube functionality, we expect these videos to become even more useful,” he said. “In addition, the social nature of YouTube encourages the dissemination of useful and interesting information. As a result, we expect Symetrix brand exposure to increase."
