SSL debuts X-Rack and XLogic E at AES

The X-Rack Dynamics Package offers up to eight mono dynamics processor modules based on the XL 9000 K Series SuperAnalogue console in a 4U 19in rack mount enclosure complete with Total Recall capability.

Solid State Logic introduced the X-Rack Dynamics Package, the newest member to its XLogic audio signal processing technology at AES.

The X-Rack Dynamics Package offers up to eight mono dynamics processor modules based on the XL 9000 K Series SuperAnalogue console in a 4U 19in rack mount enclosure with Total Recall capability.

The modules replicate the performance and look and feel of the XL 9000 K through a vertical control layout. Controls also featured include variable ratio, threshold and release compressor adjustments with RMS/peak operation and fast/slow attack switches, and variable range, threshold, release and hold gate/expander adjustments with fast/slow attack.

The unit offers fully balanced inputs and outputs, compressor and gate LED metering, a +4dBu/-10dBV input gain switch and an SEL switch for selecting a channel to be displayed for the optional Total Recall. The back panel features XLR-balanced connectors with selectable side-chain, external triggering switch and connector. Each rack has its own internal multi-tap mains power supply and a front panel on/off switch.

The Total Recall facility offers 32 local flash memory recalls and save/load switches for custom setup and recall of entire settings. An external interface allows integrated connection to the AWS 900 console. A daisy chain connection of multiple X-Rack units is also available. Total Recall data is easily saved from the X-Rack into the AWS and from there onto a DAW.
