Softel to feature vFlex HD inserter

At IBC2009, Softel will demonstrate all of the features of its vFlex HD, a single-unit, multipurpose ancillary data processing system for HD.

With the same feature set as the original analog/SD vFlex, the vFlex HD offers a platform for VBI and VANC data processing for SD/HD-SDI as well as graphics insertion.

The vFlex is the company’s next-generation SDI inserter that supports the insertion of subtitles, teletext, widescreen signaling and other ancillary data into the transport stream. It also provides for opt cue encode/decode and bridging. The vFlex combines data processing with CG and graphic keying, allowing the insertion of clocks, bugs and other graphics into the transmitted video.
