Sitel Plans DTV Transition Customer and Sales Support

Sitel announced this weekthat major U.S. digital entertainment service companies have selected Sitel to provide integrated technical and sales support during the U.S. DTV transition. No companies were listed in the announcement.

Sitel explained that DTV service providers anticipate a “dramatic increase in call volume” as a result of the analog shutoff. The company said that more than 600 of its associates at several of its U.S. locations would be fielding DTV conversion questions and also offering specialized technical support.

The Nashville, Tenn.-based company also noted that it anticipated a “flood of inbound sales inquiries” from viewers with analog-only television in the weeks after the transition.
