RF Central founder re-acquires equipment, services
By TVTechnology published
RF Central of Carlisle, PA., has announced its formation as a broadcast engineering services company.
RF Central has acquired the broadcast communications equipment divisions of Winemiller Communications, including remote control traffic/weather cameras, fixed and portable microwave links, and engineering services.
Jeff Winemiller, founder of Winemiller Communications, is a principal in RF Central. “By purchasing the RF and remote-control camera divisions of WCI for the new company, we can build on our solid track record of serving our customers in broadcast and government,” said Winemiller.
Winemiller and his wife, Jan, started WCI in 1997, then sold it last year to Prime Medical Services (PMSI). As part of the agreement to form RF Central, Winemiller has resigned his position as director of applied engineering and business development at WCI effective Feb. 1.
RF Central will continue to support WCI’s installed base of cameras and microwave systems, while offering the latest advances in digital microwave equipment and custom applications.
