Radyne Receives $1 Million Order for SNG Equipment

Radyne announced last week that its Tiernan and Xicom Technology subsidiaries had received an order from a major satellite integrator in Brazil for HDTV and SDTV encoders and high-power amplifiers for use in satellite newsgathering trucks. The order is valued at over $1 million.

Bob Fitting, Radyne's CEO, said, "This order is further evidence that our strategy of selling multi-product solutions is winning with our customers. Satellite and electronic newsgathering trucks are one example of where Radyne is uniquely positioned to sell across its product lines of TV encoders, amplifiers and modulators. The SNG market is a growing worldwide market that hits our product 'sweet spot.'" He added, "This is also an example of how last year's merger with Xicom has given Radyne access to larger orders and new sales channels. The revenue benefits of this union are far greater than just the combination of the two businesses. We continue to respond to larger commercial and military opportunities."
