QuStream Corporation has announced that Crosscreek Television Productions, Game Creek Video and Token Creek Mobile Television have all picked QuStream products for their latest HD mobile trucks. Among the items selected were Cheetah 288x576 routers, Cheetah DRS audio routers and Integrity Series 600 Distribution/Signal Processing Frames, all recent additions to the QuStream product line.
“We purchased QuStream routers for their versatility and distributed architecture,” said John Peers, vice president of engineering for Crosscreek Television Productions. “We wanted a rugged, road-ready router that provided standard-sized BNC connectors and internal power supplies in a compact form. The QuStream product offered the smallest router with the most functionality,” said Butch Mueller, director of engineering for Crosscreek Television Productions.
“QuStream routers are installed in almost every mobile production truck in our fleet, because they always listen to our needs and respond with designs that exceed our expectations,” said Paul Bonar, vice president of engineering for Game Creek Video. “The DRS audio router gives us the ability to place the frames where they are needed most.”

The Cheetah 288x576 supplies a large amount of outputs in only 18RU. The router uses standard-size BNC connectors, internal redundant power, redundant frame and system controllers. It also has the ability to mix copper, fiber and CWDM fiber in the same frame.
The Cheetah DRS multi-format audio router routes audio over Gigabit Ethernet via either a single CAT-5 or Fiber cable, allowing multi-frame connectivity between mobile units. Distributed Routing Systems scalable anywhere from 64x64--or 1RU--up to 2048x2048--or 36RU--can be created. Cable runs can be kept very short thanks to the router’s ability to place input and output frames where they’re needed most.
