Quantel to demonstrate virtualization at IBC

Quantel will introduce virtualization for broadcast file-based workflows at IBC. Virtual files eliminate typical file-based issues such as latency and the need to manage multiple versions of the same file.

The company will offer its high-speed sQ server workflow with Final Cut Pro editors without compromises on speed or quality. This is the first application of the new virtualization technology and will be released at IBC.

The new virtualization technology opens the full potential of file-based technology. The company will be doing a theatre presentation on the new technology and invites broadcasters to reserve a seat in advance by sending an e-mail with preferred day and time to: dropmarketing@quantel.com.

at IBC, Quantel will be showcasing Stereo3D productions already done on its systems. It will show how the advanced Stereo3D analysis and correction tools in the 3ality Digital SIP2100 can boost post productivity. The company will also introduce new Pablo software for color correction and finishing. Improvements include a new Cubebuilder feature.
