Proximity to Debut New Artbox GUI at IBC2004

After introducing Artbox at NAB2004, Proximity--maker of media asset management software--updated its user interface and will debut the new GUI at IBC2004 this September in Amsterdam.

Designed for broadcast and post, Artbox allows artists and producers to manage their work from one interface and it can be networked for large projects.

Artbox integrates format conversion, storage, workflow management, and search and retrieval of artwork (video, graphics, script or audio) into a single device. Users can search, locate, transfer and transcode, edit clips, generate EDLs and manage media across multiple formats and platforms.

"Thanks to Artbox's powerful content search capability and ability to transfer across multiple formats, artists will save a great deal of time in the creative process," said Luke Tristram, CEO of the Sydney, Australia-based company.

The system also has a request fulfillment tool that allows users to enter requests, assign projects and track progress. When the graphic, audio or video is complete, it is automatically uploaded to the playout server and optionally to Artbox.

Proximity will be in Booth 3.341(the Chyron Booth) at IBC2004, Sept. 10-14. For more information, visit http://www.ibc.org/.
