The new PESA 3500PRO control software enables direct access to all Cheetah (pictured) router sources from Snell & Wilcox’s Kahuna SD/HD production switcher control surface.
Helping to streamline live production, Pesa and Snell & Wilcox have developed a new interface linking the Pesa 3500PRO router control system with Snell & Wilcox’s Kahuna SD/HD production switcher.
The new interface allows technical directors in production control to access any input of the Pesa Cheetah router directly from the Kahuna control surface.
The interface between the Kahuna production switcher and the PESA 3500PRO control software, which in turn is connected to the PESA Cheetah router, gives the Kahuna operator direct control over Cheetah inputs. Router source names are transferred over to the production switcher control panel, and a physical connection between the Kahuna processing unit and the Cheetah router allows for the passage of video in either SDI or HD-SDI format.
The 3500PRO series system controller from Pesa provides a Windows-based (NT, 2000, or XP) user interface to the company's routing switcher control products. The system offers the quick-change capabilities required for rapid configuration of multiformat signal distribution and master control switching.
