Pathfire, Telestream Streamline Broadcast Workflow

Pathfire has recently inked a license agreement with Telestream.

As part of the agreement advertising content delivered by Pathfire--based in Roswell, Ga.--will now be integrated into Telestream FlipFactory TrafficManager automation systems.

Pathfire Digital Media Gateway (DMG)--an IP multicast distribution technology--sends content to more than 1,200 broadcasters, such as ABC NewsOne, CNN Newsource and Sony Television Pictures, among others.

TrafficManager transcodes digital content, and sends it to the destination devices and also alerts station operators when advertising content arrives on their Pathfire server. That content is then localized and transcoded into low-resolution proxy format for viewing.
Ryad Kahale, director of sales for Pathfire said that the agreement eliminates the manual process of retrieving, reviewing and processing ad content for play to air.
