Panasonic Offers Grants to Digital Filmmakers

Panasonic is offering a grants program that will reward an independent filmmaker each quarter with the resources to produce a feature or documentary project.
The "Digital Filmmakers Grant" program will be overseen by Abel Cine Tech a New York and L.A.-based video equipment sales and rental house. Quarterly grand prize winners will receive a three-week rental package worth more than $17,000 which includes the AJ-SDX900 dual-mode DVCPRO Cinema camera package comprised of a Fujinon zoom lens, 10 hours of DVCPRO50 videotape, a 10 week rental package consisting of a Power Mac G5 and Final Cut Pro 4 (FCP4) editing system and a DVCPRO50 deck with IEEE 1394 card.
Entrants should submit a 1-2 page treatment with a description of the proposed production path, among other criteria. For more information on the program, or to submit an application, visit http://www.panasonic.com/dvcpro.
