OmniBus Automates PBS ACE
By TVTechnology published
WMHT, the first PBS member station to go live with the network's new ACE system, has deployed OmniBus' automation and content management technology. ACE -- a multicomponent broadcast system that automates repetitive tasks and manual processes -- will be installed in five other PBS member stations this year.
The OmniBus System at WMHT in Schenectady, N.Y. manages ingest from scheduled satellite feeds, automatically tuning to the correct satellite frequency and routing and recording material directly onto the station's Omneon Spectrum server system.
