Nielsen and Time Warner Team Up

The Nielsen Co. hammered out a multi-year agreement Time Warner to cover all the media conglomerates various business units in a single contract. Time Warner division include The CW, Turner Broadcasting, HBO, Warner Bros. syndication business, Time Inc., RET Media and WPCH-TV in Atlanta, Ga.
Nielsen said its covered services include national and local TV ratings; online and mobile measurement; segmentation and targeting from Nielsen Claritas; consumer engagement from Nielsen IAG; and media analytical tools from Nielsen IMS.
The deal represents the first of its type for Nielsen, which measures audience viewership and demographics for TV, and generates more specific metrics for online platforms and consumer behavior. -- Deborah D. McAdams
