Nextamp solutions rely on patented video watermarking technology. A virtual barcode is embedded in the images. This invisible label can then be read when the video editing and format changes (digital, analog, MPEG). Any sequence can then be traced back to its source.
A new Nextamp Reader device, which combines watermark detection with digital audio/video captures for each clip-in point, will be unveiled at NAB2004. Nextamp also will demonstrate watermark embedding over SDI for live content and embedding within MPEG for video files.
