Nexstar Broadcasting Group has named Adrian Giuhat senior vice president and chief technology officer, a new position at the company. Giuhat is responsible for overseeing the company’s information technology infrastructure.
Giuhat brings more than 20 years of Internet, Web-based advertising and new media solutions experience to Nexstar. Prior to joining Nexstar, he served as chief technical officer of AvantGuard Technologies, where he defined, developed and marketed Web-based products used in numerous capacities, including video distribution. Prior to his role at AvantGuard, Giuhat held various executive and senior technical positions at leading Internet advertising, media delivery and telecom technology firms. He has also been a member of the Technology Executives Network Group since 2002.
Nexstar said the appointment reflects its commitment to supporting the rapid development of its digital initiatives and the automated interfacing of its core advertising operations. Giuhat will report directly to Nexstar Broadcasting Group chief financial officer, Matthew E. Devine.
“Adrian brings a history of proven accomplishments related to the convergence of technology, digital media and traditional advertising. This background is important to our continued in-house development of Nexstar’s technology capabilities,” Devine said.
Nexstar’s new media developers and information technology groups will report to Giuhat.
