New digital board to advertise to Oklahoma City motorists

Oklahoma City-based Vital Signs has installed a 19mm 14ft by 48ft digital outdoor billboard, replacing a static vinyl billboard. Oklahoma City is one of the nation’s top 50 billboard markets.

The digital billboard, manufactured by Watchfire Digital Outdoor, will be located on Highway 74 (Lake Hefner Parkway) near its intersection with Northwest Expressway.

Advertisers will benefit from the digital billboard’s ability to be updated remotely in minutes using software and a high-speed Internet connection. They will be able to run specific messages coinciding with the time of day or special events. Vital Signs anticipates that its advertisers will span a variety of industries including financial services, healthcare, automotive and real estate.

Watchfire Digital Outdoor boards produce 281 trillion colors and feature 140-degree viewing angle LEDs. In addition, Watchfire provides a Web cam for real-time monitoring of billboards, automatic diagnostic monitoring via e-mail and log files for proof of performance.

Watchfire digital billboards have an average uptime of more than 99.9 percent. The product’s performance record is attributable to silicone gel within the design that encapsulates every Watchfire billboard module and protects against extreme weather conditions, even allowing Watchfire’s boards to operate normally while completely submerged in water.
