Peter Smith, NBC vice president of advanced technology, has been elected president of the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA) for a two-year term.
Association members selected Smith at their annual meeting in Los Angeles. Andy Setos, president of engineering at Fox Entertainment Group, and Leonardo Mateos Ramos, director of high technology projects for Grupo Televisa, were selected to serve two-year terms as vice presidents.
NABA secretary general Michael McEwen thanked outgoing association president Jose Ignacio Suarez Vasquez of TV Azteca for his contributions during the last three years.
