NAB2007: Miranda Launches HD/SD Processor

Miranda Technologies previewed its new Imagestore 750 processor last week, which now offers HD/SD master control switching with multilevel channel-branding graphics using four keying layers. The 1 RU Imagestore 750 operates between SD and HD, at 1080i or 720p, at 50 or 59.94 Hz, according to the Montreal-based company.

The processor, which the company demo-ed at NAB2007, offers AB video mixing and single- and dual-channel DVEs for squeeze-and-reveal and PIP effects. Four group (16-channel) digital audio mixing is possible using embedded audio and 8 AES pairs for 5.1 and multilingual audio. (Up to 8 channels of audio storage and play-out are available for automated voiceovers and audio zingers.)

Imagestore 750's four independent keying layers are geared to multilevel HD/SD graphics insertions using internal animation/still storage with a capacity for up to 4,000 images. The processor also provides independent preview, clean feed, and auxiliary outputs.
