Miranda Technologies will be on-site at NAB to highlight its new 5.1 audio processing scheme for its 3 Gbps up/down/cross converter (Densite XVP-3901). Also to be demoed at the show will be Miranda's advanced remote control panel system (RCP-200) for its Densite line—featuring dual touchscreen displays.
The XVP-3901 converter can be fitted with two audio processing sub-modules for Dolby E decoding, Dolby Digital (AC-3) decoding, Dolby E/Digital (AC-3) encoding, and up-mixing using UpMax from Linear Acoustic.
Standard audio features include automatic delay for maintaining accurate lip-sync. The processor provides shuffling and down-mixing, as well as four AES inputs/outputs for additional flexibility.
The converter accepts 3 Gbps/HD/SD feeds and will execute all necessary up/down/cross, color space and aspect ratio conversions to maintain the integrity of the chosen output format (regardless of the input format).
