NAB offers broadcasters help to reduce utility bills

The NAB is working with a consulting company to help its member broadcasters to choose the best options for utility usage and services.

Affiliated Power Purchasers International (APPI), an independent utility consulting company based in Salisbury, MD, helps broadcasters identify and implement options that reduce energy, utility and telecommunications expenses.

APPI’s staff includes engineers, tariff and regulatory specialists, financial and legal professionals and account management advisors with expertise in utility analysis, tariff auditing and energy deregulation.

APPI reviews pricing and product options from several suppliers to present broadcasters with the most competitive solution that fits the station’s needs. The company’s team of rate analysts, engineers and energy consultants has secured savings of more than $550,000 for NAB members on electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, waste removal/recycling, water/sewer and freight.
