More Than 7,000 Registered for Virtual DigitalVision2010

CYBERSPACE: DigitalVision2010, produced by NewBay Media and the NAB Show, attracted more than 7,000 registrants who had the opportunity to look at current video products, meet with technology providers and participate in specialized online chats and mingled in a virtual lounge. The entire venue remains available online, with continued access obtainable at www.digitalvision2010.com.

The event served as a preview of April’s NAB Show in a free, virtual environment with intuitive navigation, video demonstrations from exhibitors and a keynote interview with NAB President Gordon Smith. Folks also were able to attend though most any browser and navigate a realistic convention floor, walk from booth to booth, and visit specific companies to meet with reps, check out product demonstrations and download white papers, spec sheets and more. They were also able to talk among themselves in open chats in the virtual lounge, or strike up private text-based conversations. Participants came from all over the world, from production companies, television stations, government agencies and schools attended, without having to petition for travel funds. DigitalVision2010 was free.

Exhibitors included Sony, Clear-Com, Digital Rapids, Ensemble Designs, Harris, Middle Atlantic Products, Miranda Technologies, Multidyne, Omneon, Snell, VCI Solutions, Viewcast, Wohler and more.
