Longtime Canon Vet Named Autoscript VP

Gordon Tubbs, former marketing exec with Canon Broadcast, has been named vice president for Autoscript, a U.K.-based provider of professional prompting systems.

As the new vice president, Tubbs will be in charge of Autoscript’s North American operation and assume responsibility for coordinating sales and marketing within the Americas and Japan.

Tubbs has extensive experience as former director of marketing for Canon’s Broadcast and Communications Division. He began working for Canon in 1984.

“Autoscript aspires to be the best and with Gordon’s invaluable market insight and advocacy we know we can continue to achieve that ambition,” said Brian Larter, Worldwide Managing Director for Autoscript. “He has demonstrated acute commercial acumen over nearly three decades in the business and his deep understanding of the key American and Japanese broadcast markets will help drive us forward. Among Tubbs’ new responsibilities will include enhancing Autoscript’s customer service and establishing strong relationships with existing and new end users in the region as well as playing a critical role in new product development. He reports to Worldwide Managing Director, Brian Larter.
