KYTX To Launch With Sundance Automation

(March 29, 2004) Dallas, TX--When KYTX, a CBS affiliate owned by Max Media and located in Tyler, TX, goes on-air from a new ground-up facility in April, a full suite of Sundance Digital products will provide a comprehensive automation solution. The station will hit the airwaves with full power and high definition upon its launch.
KYTX will install a Sundance Digital FastBreak Automation system with two air stations. FastBreak Automation is a robust, scaleable, and frame-accurate controller of video servers and other station peripherals. The configuration, which will control a SeaChange broadcast server, includes Intelli-Sat broadcast record manager, a powerful and versatile tool to facilitate the feed recording process. Intelli-Sat offers accurate device control, along with resource management to schedule and capture in-coming network content.
Rounding out the system is Sundance ListSync, a specially configured Air Station that provides realtime playlist redundancy, News Recorder, and ProgramView LoRes.
According to Moe Strout, Max Media’s director of engineering and operations, the organization was already familiar with Sundance Digital from other installations. He added that FastBreak Automation was selected because the Sundance system is a perfect fit to meet KYTX’s current and future needs.
