KVUE Austin orders Euphonix Max Air console

KVUE, an Austin, Tex., television station, has ordered a Euphonix Max Air digital broadcast console. The new console will be used for the live KVUE News broadcasts.

The console has 96 channels, 32 mix buses, 24 clean feed/group matrix buses, 12 aux sends and 24 external inputs. It features a central touch screen interface and a snapShot recall of all console settings. Forty-eight layouts can be used for different surface configurations. Also included is PatchNet, MADI digital router/patchbay, surround panning and monitoring as standard and mix minus and insert per channel.
Other Max Air consoles have been sold to ‘Moving Pictures’ in New Zealand, ‘Spectrum DV’ in Korea, ‘Technical Audio Group’ in Australia, and KRON TV in San Francisco. Demonstrations of the new console are underway on the 37-City US Max Air Broadcast Tour. Max Air started shipping in November 2002.
