‘Knowing’ Leads Blu-ray Top 10

Judging from the plot of the latest Nicolas Cage title, he probably already knew this well in advance — but “Knowing” kicked off its first week in DVD and Blu-ray release by leading the Top 10 (in both disc categories).

The Dakota Fanning vehicle “Push” shoved its way into the runner-up position on the Blu-ray chart, while old-timer “Ghostbusters” (the one and only original) improved on its no. 10 slot of the previous week by climbing to no. 6 — and apparently scaring “Friday the 13th” down to no. 10.

The Top 10 Blu-ray titles sold the week ending July 11, according to Rentrak:

  1. “Knowing” (Summit)
  2. “Push” (Summit)
  3. “The Unborn” (Universal)
  4. “Gran Torino” (Warner Bro.)
  5. “Taken” (20th Century Fox)
  6. “Ghostbusters” (Sony Pictures)
  7. “12 Rounds” (20th Century Fox)
  8. “The Dark Knight” (Warner Bro.)
  9. “Transformers” (Paramount)
  10. “Friday the 13th” 2009 (Warner Bro.)
