JW Broadcasting announced KMIZ-DT was multicasting its sister stations KQFX (Fox11) on channel 22.2 and KZOU (UPN) on channel 22.3 as well as "The Show Me Weather Channel" on 22.4 as well as KMIZ programming on 22.1. KQFX is a low power TV station, which is listed in the FCC database as low power TV station K11SN. KZOU is another low power TV station, with the call letters K02NQ. All are owned by KW Broadcasting LLC. While many stations have offered multicast programming for some time, this is the first example I've seen of a full power DTV station multicasting low power stations. As DTV viewership grows, this should allow the LPTV stations to extend their coverage well beyond what is possible with K11SN's 170 watts ERP and K02NQ's 140 watts ERP.
