KABB, a Sinclair Group Fox affiliate in San Antonio, Texas, has installed a traffic reporting system from Beat the Traffic, from Triangle Software in Campbell, Calif.
Triangle says KABB is using Beat the Traffic software to created animated 3D maps showing real-time traffic speeds and tie-ups.
Triangle sites figures from the Texas Transportation Institute indicating San Antonio drives lose more than 30 million hours a year sitting in traffic. KABB News Director Greg Koelfgen said it was likely costing the area millions of dollars in lost productivity.
