JVC Professional names new president

JVC has appointed Kirk Hirota as president and CEO of its professional products company. He replaces the retiring Mike Yoshida, who will return to Japan after serving as president of the division since 2001.
Hirota is new to JVC’s professional products operation, although he has more than 20 years experience with Victor Company of Japan, JVC’s parent company. He most recently designed the united strategies for the parent company’s multiple professional business operations.
JVC said Hirota’s agenda in the coming years will focus on the advancements in high definition and Internet protocol (IP) video transmission.
