Inscriber Partners With Accom; Launches InfoVision Channel-Scheduling System

Inscriber has formed an agreement with Accom to integrate Accom's new digital video hardware in Inscriber's next generation of character generators. Inscriber has also launched InfoVision, a system for creating and scheduling information channels that target digital signage, in-house communications and cable television markets.

The new line of open-system-based character generators will integrate Accom's Serial Digital I/O boards. The integration adds fast PCI access and Native Serial Digital signal processing. The CGs can be used by live-to-air broadcasters and post-production professionals, and will be available as a bundled board and software solution or in an array of rack mount and desktop systems for creating video titles and motion effects.

Inscriber InfoVision is a visual communication tool for in-house information channels displayed by corporations, governments, schools and other entities. InfoVision can also drive digital signage for retail advertising, airport or other transportation scheduling and other creative applications. It uses the company's broadcast CGs to create multizone screens that integrate crawls, rolls, animations and other features. InfoVision can link to databases to drive constantly updated information displays. It plays out on a standard dual-head VGA card or on professional video hardware.
