Ikegami displays tapeless ENG system

Ikegami has unveiled its tapeless ENG system, plus a new array of digital camera systems and monitors.

The tapeless recording system uses a removable nonlinear FieldPak2 media with up to 80GB capacity. It is central to the company's DNS-33W Editcam3 camcorder. The DNS-33W is a next-generation 520,000-pixel AIT CCD camcorder that features Retroloop and Time-lapse recording.

The 80GB FieldPak2 can record six hours of DV25 digital video (DV50 and IMX are available as options). It enables Avid editing systems to access and edit video clips directly. The system is available in either hard drive or solid-state memory versions.

In addition to the DNS-33W camcorder, Ikegami’s has also introduced the HL-60W three-AIT CCD full digital broadcasting camera.

The HL-60W’s imaging is performed by a single ASIC. The camera head weighs 5.1lbs. It is also available with either component triax or two-channel triax configurations.

Ikegami’s HDL-40HS 2.1 million-pixel HDTV compact box-style camera employs the image-processing power of full-resolution CMOS sensors and can capture in native 720p, 1080i or 1080p formats. The HDL-40HS weighs less than 4lbs., is capable of slow-motion image capture and offers HD-SDI output.
