The Innovation, Design, Entertainment, Art, and Storytelling (i.d.e.a.s.) video facility at Disney-MGM Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, has completed an upgrade to an Avid DS HD edit suite, representing the only facility of its kind in Central Florida. The upgrade includes the addition of a 50-inch DLP projection monitor, the installation of a Sony HDCam deck and the upgrade of the Avid DSHD software.
The new Avid DS HD software allows for compositing, paint, animation and character generation of both standard & high definition projects at all times. The new projection monitor has the ability to show both standard & high definition resolution pictures.
In addition to the editing capabilities, i.d.e.a.s. is the only facility in the Orlando area with multiple surround sound mixing rooms. The audio department at i.d.e.a.s. provides voice over recording, voice over to picture recording, vocal recording, sweetening, mixing, ADR, Foley and ISDN services. It also provides comprehensive DVD authoring, captioning and duplication services.
