IBC2005: Vizrt Showing Real-time 3D Graphics

Vizrt, a producer of real-time 2D and true 3D graphics systems for TV, will display its Viz-Trio suite of real-time 3D and HD-compatible broadcast graphics at IBC2005 starting Sept. 9 in Amsterdam. The suite includes Version 2.5 of Viz-Trio, Vizrt's flagship real-time 3D character generator, and the new Viz|-Trio NV character generator, an entry-level version of that includes most of the main features of the original system.

Viz-Trio is Vizrt's flagship character generator, allowing for simultaneous creation of true 3D and HD graphics and animations by multiple clients in a broadcast environment. In addition to a full set of broadcast graphics- and animation-creation tools, it features the company's "Look Ahead Transition Logic," which provides "intelligent" graphics for workflow efficiency during production. Transition Logic allows operators to send new graphics pages to air without overlapping or mismatching with pages already on air. Users can stack arbitrary pages and automatically create seamless transitions, using just one video output channel.

Viz-Trio NV supports real-time data feeds and can be seamlessly integrated with all newsroom systems supporting MOS 2.8, including iNews, Octopus, ENPS, Dalet+, OpenMedia and Newstar.
