IBC 2006: Japan's FOR-A to Celebrate 35th Year
By TVTechnology published
Celebrating its 35th anniversary at the upcoming IBC 2006 next month, FOR-A will be featuring a range of its mostly HD-centric products, including the Hanabi HVS-500HS HD/SD video switcher.
Compatible with all HD, SD, HDV and DV formats, the switcher comes with 10-bit, 4:2:2 internal processing for processing various functions--including editing, studio production, mobile production, up-link vans, live production and live staging.
FOR-A's FRC-7000 HD frame rate converter also will be on display. It includes motion-compensation processing technology and scene-cut detection for HD conversions. The company's HD/SD FA-9000 frame synchronizer (dubbed "The Processor") supports all video signal formats and carries options for HD/SD upconversion and downconversion, color correction and Dolby E decoding.
Also at IBC in September, FOR-A will include a demo of its DigiStorm HD/SD Virtual Studio and real-time computer graphics in conjunction with its partner, Brainstorm Multimedia.
