IABM Donates to Doran's Big Ride

On the 30th June 2008 Ciaran Doran, a senior marketing manager with Harris Corporation, stopped off at IABM (www.theiabm.org) Headquarters in Tewkesbury in England as part of his cycle-ride from John O'Groats to Lands End, to raise money for a children's charity.

Ciaran, who is also an IABM board member, was presented with a cheque by IABM CEO Roger Stanwell who said: "This is a great opportunity for the IABM to support such a worthy cause at the same time as supporting one of our valued Board Members. The IABM secretariat team wish Ciaran well on his epic journey."

TV Technology International Newsbytes

would like to congratulate Ciaran for his good effort as he continues his ride.

We heard from Ciaran—presumably from a BlackBerry—a few days into the ride. He and the charity team had ridden just under 1000 kilometres in just three days.

A blog of the trip and a portal for donating to the CHASE hospice care for children can be accessed through

Good job to all involved.
